1)Some important TB Drugs were mentioned in Todays Newspaper. 

Bedaquiline and Delaminid, the new generation drugs, are recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO) for DR-TB (Drug resistant) patients.

Why in News ??:- Only Few Patients in India are getting these drugs since our drug makers can not produce these at affordable Prices because of the Licensing Issues.

So Compulsory licence for 2 drugs may be needed so that these two drugs can be produced at affordable prices.

2)Prasar Bharati:-Prasar Bharati is a statutory autonomous body established under the Prasar Bharati Act and came into existence on 23.11.1997.




It is the Public Service Broadcaster of the country.

The objectives of public service broadcasting are achieved in terms of Prasar Bharati Act through All India Radio and Doordarshan.

All India Radio (AIR), officially known since 1956 as Ākāshvāṇī, is the national public radio broadcaster of India and a division of Prasar Bharati.

Doordarshan is Government of India founded public service broadcaster which is owned by the Broadcasting Ministry of India and is one of two divisions of Prasar Bharati.

It is one of India's largest broadcasting organisations in terms of studio and transmitter infrastructure, having been established on 15 September 1959.
WHY PRASAR BHARTI WAS IN NEWS:- PRASAR BHARTI is having a tussel with Information and Broadcasting Ministry over the Autonomy of PRASAR BHARTI.

3)What is the Queen Bee Syndrome?
A phenomenon most widely reported in office spaces, the Queen Bee Syndrome refers to women being uncivil or treating female coworkers unfairly.

4)Goa celebrating Shigmotsav 2018:- Goa is celebrating Shigmotsav which began today. Shigmotsav or Shigmo is one of the several cultural festivals of the coastal state and is celebrated through colours, costumes, music, dance and parades.


5)The Karnataka government has launched the world’s largest solar park ‘Shakti Sthalaon’ at Pavagada in Tumakuru district, about 180km from Bengaluru.

The solar park has a capacity of 2,000 MW and has set up at an investment of Rs16,500 crore.

6)The Indian Snooker team has lifted the first edition of IBSF Snooker Team World Cup title and won the prize money of $15,000. The Indian duo of Pankaj Advani and Manan Chandra defeated Pakistan (Muhammad Asif, Babar Masih) in the best-of-five final played in Doha on March 2.
