1)Navy to host MILAN:-The Indian Navy will host the multi-national MILAN series of exercises at Port Blair in Andaman and Nicobar islands from March 6 to March 13, 2018.
MILAN is a congregation of littoral navies conducted biennially by the Indian Navy under the aegis of the Andaman and Nicobar Command.
It began in 1995 with only 4 littoral navies but today it has grown in size and complexity.
Theme of MILAN 2018 is ‘Friendship Across the Seas’.
2)Social media executives to monitor local news:- For a sharper delivery of the government’s message to the voters, the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (I&B) on Monday approved the hiring of 716 social media executives, one for each district of the country.
3)Russia vetoes UN draft resolution pressuring Iran over Yemen :- Russia vetoed today a UN draft resolution presented by Britain that would have pressured Iran over its failure to block supplies of missiles to Yemen's Houthi rebels.
Veto Power is with 5 Nations:- USA , UK, Russia, France, China
The text, strongly supported by the United States, won 11 favourable votes at the 15-member Security Council but was blocked by Russia's veto.
4)Shri J P Nadda launches Viral Load test for People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) :- So the important fact to remember is that Viral Load test is for HIV AIDS.
The initiative will provide free of cost viral load testing for 12 lakh PLHIV on treatment in the country at least once a year.
Another test related to AIDS is ELISA Test.
