1)Kerala Govt. thinking of Promoting Green Habitat :- 
The Kerala government is considering promoting a ‘green habitat’ concept giving thrust to eco-friendly and reusable building materials, natural water storage and solid waste management

The objective of the concept is to introduce maximum eco-friendly and reusable materials in the construction.

Some Features:-

  • The buildings, under the concept, are planned to be designed in such a way that natural sunlight and wind would be used to maximum and the usage of electricity reduces to the minimum.
  • A rainwater harvesting or natural water storage system would be a sure feature of such ‘green’ buildings, where even kitchen and drainage water would be recycled and reused for other household purposes.


2)International day of persons with disabilities was observed on December 3 to promote the rights and welfare of disabled individuals around the globe.

3)South Korea and United States have launched Vigilant Ace, their largest-ever joint aerial drills. The exercise comes after North Korea tested Hwasong-15.

4)The Indian Navy Day is observed every year on 4 December to celebrate achievements and role of the naval force to the country.

The observance of the day commemorates the launch of Operation Trident by the Indian Navy against Pakistan on 4th December, 1971, during 1971 India-Pak war.

5)Noxeno: Nasal foreign body removal device launched:- It is first dedicated tool for anterior nasal foreign body (NFB) removal that allows doctors in any setting to quickly and safely remove objects that people (mostly children aged 2 to 10 years) put into their noses.

6)Venezuelan has launched its own cryptocurrency, called the “Petro,” which will be backed by the country’s vast natural resource reserves.
The country has also approved the creation of a BlockchainBase observatory to oversee the development and rollout of the new cryptocurrency.

7)World’s first IT campus for differently-abled in Hyderabad(Telangana):
On the eve of World Disability Day, the Telangana State government has planned to set up  IT campus which will focus on creating employment exclusively for PWDs.

8)The Andhra Pradesh assembly has unanimously passed the Kapu reservation bill which will provide the community with a 5% quota in education and employment in the state.

9)Hornbill Festival :- Hornbill Festival was celebrated on the State Formation Day of Nagaland on December 1. The Hornbill Festival is the perfect showcase of rich Naga culture and traditions, preserved over the years in the form of music, dance and food.



10)India re-elected to International Maritime Organisation Council.

India was elected under category B that represents nations with largest interests in international sea borne trade.

HQ of International Maritime Organization is in London.
The IMO Council plays crucial role in deciding various important matters within mandate of IMO especially in relation to global shipping industry and budget.

IMO is a specialised agency of the United Nations responsible for regulating shipping. It was established in 1948 in Geneva and came into force in 1959. Its headquarters are in London, United Kingdom.

11)India was awarded certificate of commendation for its effort to combat illegal wildlife trade by Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).

The award was given to Wildlife Crime Control Bureau (WCCB) for its efforts in conducting and coordinating species-specific wildlife enforcement operation, codenamed ‘Operation Save Kurma’.

The operation was conducted to combat the proliferating illegal trade of live turtles and its parts from the country to destinations abroad.
