1)Officer Trainees of Bangladesh Foreign Service attending a special course at the Foreign Service Institute, New Delhi.

2)12th G-20 Summit :- The 2017 G20 Hamburg summit is the twelfth meeting of the Group of Twenty, held on 7–8 July 2017, at Hamburg Messe, in the city of Hamburg, Germany.



3)Scheme for IPR Awareness – Creative India; Innovative India :- 

Taking forward the National Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Policy 2016, a ‘Scheme for IPR Awareness – Creative India; Innovative India’ has been launched by Cell for IPR Promotion and Management (CIPAM) under the aegis of the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion.

The Scheme aims at raising IPR awareness amongst students, youth, authors, artists, budding inventors and professionals to inspire them to create, innovate and protect their creations and inventions across India.

The Scheme for IPR Awareness aims to conduct over 4000 IPR awareness workshops/seminars in academic institutions (schools and colleges) and the industry ,including MSMEs and Startups, as also IP training and sensitization programmes for enforcement agencies and the judiciary.

The Scheme for IPR Awareness would be implemented through partner organizations to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.

4)NSG organises first International Aviation Security seminar :- National Security Guard (NSG) has organised the seminar, with the aim of bringing all major stakeholders under one roof and facilitate them sharing views/opinion, discussions, brain storming with the matters concerning Aviation Security.


About NSG:- The National Security Guard (NSG) is an Indian special forces unit under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

It was raised in 1984, following Operation Blue Star and the assassination of Indira Gandhi, "for combating terrorist activities with a view to protect states against internal disturbances".

5)Jarava Tribe was in News :- Remember that it is of Andaman islands.

Taking suo-moto cognizance of objectionable video films and pictures of protected Jarava and other tribal communities of Andaman Islands on YouTube social media platform, the National Commission for Scheduled Tribe (NCST) has initiated action on it.

The Commission wants the removal of that content from Youtube.

6)Treaty banning nuclear weapons approved at UN:-

The treaty was endorsed by 122 countries at the United Nations headquarters in New York.

Only the Netherlands, which took part in the discussion, despite having US nuclear weapons on its territory, voted against the treaty.

Many did not attended the discussion like UK.

USA was the critic of the discussion citing the escalation of North Korea and therefore said that it will retain its nuclear power.

Under the new treaty, signatory states must agree not to develop, test, manufacture or possess nuclear weapons, or threaten to use them, or allow any nuclear arms to be stationed on their territory.

The nine nuclear powers, namely, the United States, Russia, Britain, China, France, India, Pakistan, North Korea and Israel neither took part in the negotiations nor cast their vote.

7) UNESCO puts Old City of Hebron on its heritage in danger list.

The UNESCO World Heritage Committee acting on a proposal brought by Palestine has put the West Bank city of Hebron on its list of world heritage in danger.

This has made Israel angry and has triggered a new Israeli-Palestinian spat at the international body.

Palestine accuses Israel for involving in violations, vandalism and for causing damage to properties in the area.
