1)Dr Jitendra Singh launches new training programme ‘COMMIT’ for State Government officials.

It Stands For Comprehensive Online Modified Modules on Induction Training (COMMIT).

What is the Objective:- The objective of this training programme is to improve the public service delivery mechanism and provide citizen centric administration through capacity building of officials who interact with the citizens on day-to-day basis.

The COMMIT programme, developed by DoPT in collaboration with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).


2) 125th birth anniversary celebrations of Professor P.C. Mahalanobis.
Mahalanobis is known for the 2nd Five Year Plan fron 1956-61.
2nd FYP is also known as Mahalanobis Model.

The National Statistics Day is being observed every year on 29 June to create public awareness among people about the importance of statistics in daily life and in the process of planning and development.

In recognition of the notable contributions made by Late Professor Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis in the fields of statistics, statistical system and economic planning, Government of India in 2007, designated 29thJune the birth anniversary of Prof. Mahalanobis. as the “Statistics Day” in the category of Special Days.

3)PM inaugurates filling of Aji Dam under Sauni Yojana.
Remember the Facts that Aji Dam is in Gujrat.
SAUNI means Saurashtra-Narmada Avataran Irrigation Yojana (Sauni Yojana).
