1)The Vienna Convention on Consular Relations:- It was in News with relation to Kulbhushan Jadhav's Case at the ICJ.

The Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 1963 is an international treaty that defines a framework for consular relations between independent states.

A consul normally operates out of an embassy in another country, and performs two functions:- (1) protecting in the host country the interests of their countrymen, and
(2) furthering the commercial and economic relations between the two states.

2)'WannaCry' ransomware cyberattack was in News :-

Let's Know Everything we need to know about it:-

What is WannaCry Ransomware:- It's the name for a prolific hacking attack known as "ransomware," that holds your computer hostage until you pay a ransom.

What is the Mechanism , How it Works?:-

  • The way it works is that once it infects a computer, it encrypts -- or basically scrambles -- all the data
  • Then the program puts up a screen demanding you pay money to get access back
  • Typically the price increases over time until the end of a countdown, when the files are destroyed.
India's IB Minister is saying that there have been isolated cases of this Cyberattack in Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. Overall in India the impact has been mild.




3)River Narmada has been in news due to Narmada sewa Yatra and Namami Narmada :-

The Narmada, also called the Rewa, is a river in central India and the fifth longest river in the Indian subcontinent.
It is also known as "Life Line of Madhya Pradesh" .

Originates from a place called Amarkantak and drains into Gulf of Khambat.(Son Also Originates From Amarkantak, Son is a tributary of Ganga)

It flows in a Rift Valley.

  • Omkareshwar Dam. ...
  • Maheshwar Dam. ...
  • Bargi Dam. ...
  • Maan Dam


It Flows through Madhya Pradesh , Maharashtra and then Gujrat.
It Forms Estuary and not Delta.


4)Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana :- 

Earlier it was Launched by Labour and Employment Ministry but has now been transferred to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

RSBY was launched in early 2008 and was initially designed to target only the Below Poverty Line (BPL) households, but has been expanded to cover other defined categories of unorganised workers.

The premium cost for enrolled beneficiaries under the scheme is shared by Government of India and the State Governments.
The program has the target to cover 70 million households by the end of the Twelfth Five Year Plan (2012-17).

The beneficiaries under RSBY are entitled to hospitalization coverage up to Rs. 30,000/- per annum on family floater basis. The Coverage is Provided to a Maximum of 5 Members of a Family.
