1)Supreme Court to go digital with ICMIS:-

ICMIS:The Integrated Case Management Information System (ICMIS) will allow a litigant to digitally file a case and watch its progress on a realtime basis.

The system will help litigants access data and retrieve information online. It would help usher in transparency, reduce manipulation.

2)Multidrug-resistant TB will rise in India as per the Lancet Report :- 

Last Month India has set the Target to eliminate TB by 2025.

This New Study is by LANCET , a British Medical Journal.

About TB:- Tuberculosis is a contagious infection caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis and it usually attacks the lungs. It can also spread to other parts of the body like the brain and spine. Tuberculosis is contagious and spreads through the air, much like cold or flu.

Types of TB:-

i)MDR TB (Multi Drug Resistant):- is a form of tuberculosis (TB) infection caused by bacteria that are resistant to treatment with at least two of the most powerful first-line anti-TB medications (drugs), isoniazid and rifampin.

ii)XDR TB (Extensively Drug Resistant TB):- resistant to second-line medications, and are called extensively drug-resistant TB (XDR-TB)

iii)TDR TB (Totally Drug Resistant TB):-Resistant to all the first and second line TB drugs. This makes it almost but not totally impossible to treat.

As Per the WHO Report India has the Highest Number of TB cases.

3)SoftBank sufers $1.4 bn. loss in India:-

ii)SoftBank is the largest investor in cab-hailing app Ola and e-commerce marketplace Snapdeal.

4)Prime Minister to attend UN Vesak Day Celebrations in Sri Lanka:- Prime Minister Modi will travel to Sri Lanka to attend the Buddhist festival ‘Vesak Day’ (Buddha Jayanti) that commemorates birth, enlighten and death of Buddha.



Note:- Remember the Three Events that the Vesak Day Represents.

5)Moon Jae-in has been declared winner in South Korea’s presidential election by that country’s National Election Commission.

6)Measurement of Liveability Index:- Ministry of Urban Development is planning to launch measuring of Liveability Index of cities based on indigenously evolved Index.

To start with, Liveability Standards of 140 cities including 53 cities with population of one million and above and Smart Cities will be assessed.

The Ministry of Urban Development has come out with a detailed document on “Methodology for Collection and Computation of Liveability Standards in Cities” for the benefit of States and Cities.

Cities will be assessed on 15 core parameters relating to

  • Governance, 
  • Social infrastructure pertaining to education, 
  • Health and safety and security, 
  • Economic aspects and 
  • physical infrastructure like housing, 
  • Open spaces, 
  • Land use, 
  • Energy and 
  • Water availability, 
  • Solid waste management, 
  • Pollution etc.


Cities will be ranked based on Liveability Index that would cover a total of 79 aspects.


7)Darbar Move:- Leaders in Jammu and Kashmir have floated the idea of abrogation of the 146-year-old Dogra-era practice of ‘Darbar Move’.

What is the Darbar Move? :-  Under this the State’s civil secretariat shuttles between summer capital Srinagar and winter capital Jammu bi-annually. It was introduced by Maharaja Gulab Singh in 1872.

Terming this as a costly affair, leaders have asked for bifurcation of the offices. Every year, over 7,000 employees of the civil secretariat shuttle between Srinagar and Jammu along with the files, which are ferried in buses and tracks. It costs the State over ₹40 crore.

8)Now After Ganga and Yamuna , Narmada will be a Living Entity.
