1)Cancellation of licence of PHFI(Public Health Foundation of India)questioned :-
Background: 3-4 Days Ago the License of PHFI was cancelled because of Lobbying Allegations, that they were influencing the Health Policy of India.
Denying allegations of influencing India’s health policy, Nachiket Mor, the director of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation-India (BMGF), said that the Indian government’s decision to cancel the licence of Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI).
PHFI is one of BMGF’s(Bill and Melinda Gate's Foundations) biggest partners in India.
One More important point is that Committee which gave recommendations of setting up of Payment Banks was headed by Nachiket Mor.
2)Assam Govt committed to solving problems of Sarania Kacharis:=
Who are they ?:- Sarania Kachharis are basically a Tribal Ethnic Group of Assam.
CM of Assam has promised to solve all outstanding problems and help them in contributing towards the development of society.
3)Navy test-fires land attack variant of BrahMos missile:= Test-firing of the land attack variant of BrahMos supersonic cruise missile.
Importance:=The land attack variant provides the naval ships the capability “to precisely neutralise selected targets deep inland, far away from coast, from stand-off ranges at sea.
About Brahmos:= BrahMos, derived from Russian P-800 Oniks or Yakhont missile, is a joint product of India and Russia.
The present range of the BrahMos is 290 km, which is now in the process of being extended up to 450 km following India’s entry into the Missile Technology Control Regime last year.
What is Supersonic:- Supersonic travel is a rate of travel of an object that exceeds the speed of sound (Mach 1).
4)India - South Korea Relations :- India and South Korea on Friday signed two agreements to build artillery guns for the Army and for collaboration in shipbuilding.
5)Kohinoor not in our jurisdiction: SC -->
The Supreme Court clearly refused to further take any petition seeking a judicial declaration to bring the Kohinoor diamond back from the United Kingdom.
Supreme Court Said Kohinoor is not in our Jurisdiction and left the task to the wisdom and efforts of the government.
6)Nepal President to address musk dearth at Puri temple:-
Background: - Musk(Musk is Kasturi) is used in Jagannath Puri for some Rituals.
Musk is obtained by a Stag's Naval (Stag : a male deer).
Musk last came from Nepal in 2002, and now the stocks have exhausted.
So Nepal President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has promised to solve this problem.

8)“Quality Mark” Award Scheme for Dairy Cooperatives initiated by NDDB.
About the Scheme := National Dairy Development Board(NDDB) developed initiative of “Quality Mark” Award Scheme for dairy Cooperatives to promote and encourage enhancement of safety, quality and hygiene of milk and milk products manufactured by dairy cooperatives.
