1)Confusion reigns on CAG audit of GST data:-

Background : As we all know that the GST Bills have passed now and the Govt. is in full mood to implement the GST Tax Regime From 1st July.

What is the Confusion:- 
i) How will CAG Access the Data on GST??

ii)What will happen to the revenue obtained from Alcohol and Petrochemicals , Which are outside the Purview of GST for now??

Report is that GSTN (GST Network) which is maintaining the datasets of the GST and is providing IT infrastructure to GST has denied access to CAG of GST Data.

Why is the issue/ Why Data was denied by GSTN??:- GST Network is a Private Company(Since 51% of its Shares are held by Private Companies like ICICI and HDFC) so they are saying that CAG can not Audit them.

2)An exercise to assess women’s safety:- A unique exercise of participatory safety assessments conducted by groups of youths in different parts of Jaipur has laid emphasis on making urban space safe for women.

These Assesments were a part of : KADAM BADHAE CHALO Project of Participatory Research in Asia.

3)Rain may delay hatching of Olive Ridley turtle eggs:-

What happened ?:- There was  summer Rain in the night of 2nd April because of that there was increased Humidity , increased moisture content in the sand and lowerin of temperature.

Lowering of Temperature and increase of moisture, delays the incubation / hatching of eggs.

4)Kerala will host its first international kite festival at Kozhikode.

5)Tree-dwelling crab species found in Kerala:- The new species named Kani maranjandu, after the Kani tribe in Kerala, are substantially different from other congeners.

This is the first report of its kind to offer a record of an arboreal crab.

Meaning of Arbreal :- Living in Trees.

6)India is hosting 52nd annual meeting of the African Development Bank in Ahmedabad.

African Development Bank Group:-It is a multilateral development finance institution established to contribute to the economic development and social progress of African countries.

The AfDB Group has 80 member countries, comprising 54 regional member countries (RMC) and 26 non-regional member countries (NRMC).

India is a Non-Regional Member of the AfDB Group and is not a founding-member. Indi joined it in 1982. So India is not a Founding member of AfDB.
