1)Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) became the “Best Regional Airport in India and Central Asia” for the second time by bagging the SKYTRAX Award.

2)Karnataka's State Finance Budget was Presented Yesterday and in that Budget allocation of AHINDA was increased a lot.

3)Space4Life, the youngest team to win Lab2Moon challenge.

Lab2Moon was Team Indus's Competition to select a experiment to send on the moon on the Team Indus Spacecraft.

Space4Life:-It is a Italy Based student group/team.


4)Pakistan begins irst census in 19 yrs.

Place of Enumeration :The place of enumeration is the place at which the person is counted i.e. where he/she spent Census Night, which may not be where he/she usually lives.

5)Pakistan is planning to declare the strategic Gilgit-Baltistan region as its fifth Province, a move that may raise concerns in India as it borders the disputed Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Gilgit-Baltistan is treated as a separate geographical entity by Pakistan. It has a regional Assembly and an elected Chief Minister. It is believed that China’s concerns about its unsettled status prompted the move

Pakistan has four provinces the name of these provinces are:

Punjab
Sindh
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Balochistan

Balochistan is the biggest province of Pakistan.


6)What is a bad bank :A bad bank is a corporate structure to isolate illiquid and high risk assets held by a bank or a financial organisation, or perhaps a group of banks or financial organisations.

A bad bank might be established by one bank or financial institution as part of a strategy to deal with a difficult financial situation.

In addition to segregating or removing the bad assets from parent banks' balance sheet, a bad bank structure permits specialized management to deal with the problem of bad debts. The approach allows good banks to focus on their core business of lending while the bad bank can specialize in maximizing value from the high risk assets.

old fossils that appear to contain red algae, which may be the oldest plant-like life discovered on Earth.

8)The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved -

i. Introduction of the Indian Institutes of Information Technology Public Private Partnership (IIIT PPP) Bill, 2017;

ii. To grant statutory status to the fifteen Indian Institutes of Information Technology in Public Private Partnership and declare them as Institutions of National Importance;

iii. To enable these institutions to grant degrees to their students in the academic courses conducted by them.

There is no financial implication with regard to the proposed IIIT PPP Bill, 2017
